Under the National Capital Act, the NCC has the responsibility to coordinate and approve projects on federal lands and in federal buildings throughout the National Capital Region. The NCC’s specific mission and responsibilities relating to land use, design and transaction approvals are laid out in section 12 and subsection 12.1 of the Act.
